GET THE COVERAGE CONTEXT RIGHT

Different vehicle uses. Different coverage questions.

A claim involving business use, delivery or rideshare activity can raise questions about which policy responds and what the vehicle was doing at the time. We help organize the evidence without assuming coverage from a platform name alone.

Establish the activity at the time of the loss

Relevant records may include trip history, platform status, dispatch instructions, business-use information and communications made around the incident. Preserve the records in their original form and note the applicable time zone.

We can help prepare a chronology explaining whether the vehicle was being used personally, on an accepted trip, carrying a passenger or performing another activity. The account should be based on actual records and recollection.

Identify the policies before arguing the result

Personal insurance, commercial insurance and platform-related coverage are not interchangeable. Review the relevant policy wording, endorsements, insured parties and the coverage period applying to the activity.

Where insurers direct you to each other, a focused submission can set out the agreed facts, identify the unanswered coverage question and request a written position. There is no blanket promise that every rideshare or delivery incident is covered.

Prepare the response and assess the next step

We can review allegations about use, disclosure or eligibility and help assemble the documents addressing the particular issue. A denial or reservation of rights should be considered on its actual wording rather than treated as a standard template problem.

Any representation is subject to the value, forum and authorized paralegal scope. Complex commercial coverage litigation may require a lawyer; an initial review should identify that issue rather than imply unlimited representation.

Have a deadline? Include the date in your initial inquiry. Do not assume a consultation request, negotiation or complaint pauses a legal deadline.
